Obituary

Abel Salinas, 57, of Riviera, Texas, passed away on August 1, 2024, in Riviera, Texas.
Born on June 4, 1967, in Kingsville, Texas, to Eliseo and Zenaida Salinas, Abel was a cherished member of his community and a beloved family man. He dedicated many years of his life to his career as a car salesman at Sames Kingsville, where his charismatic personality and dedication made him a blessing to everyone he encountered.
Abel was known for his outgoing and vibrant personality. He brought joy to those around him with his love for dancing, music, and karaoke. A true enthusiast, he enjoyed riding his Harley and was a lifelong, loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, proudly cheering for his team through every season.
Abel is survived by his devoted wife of 17 years, Rosa Ana Salinas of Riviera; his three sons, Jonathan (Cassie) Salinas of Falfurrias, Eric (Bee) Salinas of Austin, and Tres (Destiny) Acevedo of Kingsville; his three daughters, Leezee Salinas of Corpus Christi, Chelsie (Moses) Acevedo of Riviera, and Emily Acevedo of Riviera; and eight adoring grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Jalissa, Hector, Aliana, Maddie, Zaiyon, Madelynn, and Levi. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (George) Garcia of Kingsville; his four brothers, Robert Salinas of Kingsville, Raul Salinas of Corpus Christi, Eliseo (Sulema) Salinas of Bishop, and Frank (Nellie) Salinas of Falfurrias; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission in Riviera. Burial will follow at Riviera Cemetery.
May Abel ride through Heaven, where every mile is blessed with his love and peace. He rode with passion, lived with courage, and left a trail of inspiration. His memory will forever be a source of comfort and strength to all who knew him.
