Margarito G. Olivarez

Margarito G. Olivarez, 85, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2022, in Kingsville, Texas. He was born on November 26, 1936, in Cuero, TX to Julio and Andrea Olivarez. He was a retired employees of Kleberg County Parks & Recreation - Dick Kleberg Park and L E Ramey Golf Course. He was a skilled worker of all trades (building homes, maintaining all kinds of machines). Mr. Olivarez was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, a devoted and humorous father and grandfather. He was a very respectful and kind man. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Manuela Gutierrez, Andrea Chapa, Christina Price and Ninfa Salinas; two brothers, Luis Guzman, and Guadalupe Olivarez. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Grace O. Olivarez of Kingsville, Texas; two daughters, Susie (Hector) Cruz of Kingsville, Texas and Mercy (Hector) Montoya; two sons, Daniel (Annette) Alvarado of Kingsville, Texas, and Jayden Trevino of Kingsville, Texas; two brothers, Jose Olivarez and Pedro (Alicia) Hernandez; one sister, Maria Ortegon; twelve grandchildren, Hector II, Audrey, Gavriela, Ariana, Orlando, Abby, Adrien, D.J., Noah, Ezequiel, Jennifer, and Victoria; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, 02-25-2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Burial will follow at Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery.
